Vice-general-secretary of the China Wine Association and vice-general-secretary of the Chinese viticulture society. Associate professor of wine tasting and oenology at the Beijing Agricultural College and a guest lecturer at ESA Angers, France. He trained at Chateau Palmer, and has visited almost every wine region in the world. Demei was the first chief winemaker and technical director for the Chinese-French government joint venture project, Sino-French Demonstration Vineyards and Winery. He consults for several wineries in China.
